District Responsibility
It's important to understand where your property's responsibility begins and ends and where the District's responsibility begins and ends. Of note:
- The District owns and manages the distribution and collection system for water and sewer.
- The District owns the curb stop for your potable water supply and has the right to turn it on and off.
- The property owner owns the meter and is responsible for maintenance, repairs or replacement. Replacement must be done to District specifications (see spec's).
- The Radio Frequency Transmitter (RF) is owned by the property owner and needs to be mounted and properly connected by wire to the meter in order to transmit meter readings continously to the District. If the RF stops functioning, the District may contact you and require that it be replaced. The District will supply the RF device and the cost of the device will be added to your next month's bill.
