Snowmass Water and Sanitation District supports our customers in upgrading irrigation equipment to current technology that maximizes efficiency to meet landscape needs.

Irrigation Assessment: *required first step*

Free for single family residences. District will contribute up to $650 per multi-family account, up to $1000 for commercial account, and up to $7,000 per HOA/Irrigation-Only account above 3 acres in size. Schedule through the District.

An Irrigation Assessment must be completed to be eligible for outdoor irrigation efficiency rebates.

Weather-Based Controller:

Choose from among eligible controllers that provide fully-automated weather-based control.

Yes, materials and labor, up to max rebate per property. Must be installed with a rain sensor before other upgrades are rebate-eligible.

Rain Sensor

Yes, materials and labor, up to max rebate per property. Must be installed with a Weather-Based Controller before other upgrades are rebate-eligible.

Irrigation Heads

*Heads must have matched precipitation rate within a zone to be rebated*

Maximum Rebates per property (subject to available funding):

Single Family Residence

$1100 of materials and labor. Paid invoice must be submitted.

Multi-Family Residence

$1100 of materials and labor. Paid invoice must be submitted.

Commercial

$2000 of materials and labor. Paid invoice must be submitted.

HOA/ Irrigation-Only Account (3 acres or more of irrigated space)

$10,000 of materials and labor. Paid invoice must be submitted.


Terms:

The District encourage all customers to apply for the program.

  • Funding will be made available on a "first-come, first served" basis. Maximum funding is listed as a total per account, delivered one time.
  • Irrigation Assessments- provided by a third party with funding from the District- must be completed before upgrades are rebate eligible. Upgrades must be specifically recommended in the Irrigation Assessment to rebate eligible.
  • Weather-Based Controller and Rain Sensor must be installed first before other upgrades can be rebate eligible.
  • Rebates can only be used to support efficiency improvements, not for common repairs that are deferred maintenance.
  • Upgrades must be completed within 18 months of the Irrigation Assessment being completed.
  • Upgrades must be field verified by a District staff member or District-appointed third party before rebates will be delivered.
  • Rebates will be provided following submission of a paid invoice for work completed. Submissions can be sent to dsmith@swsd.org.
