Drought Information

Snowmass Village is now in a Level 4 Exceptional Drought per the US Drought Monitor.

All visitors and residents are encouraged to use water wisely. Stream flows are currently low in Snowmass and East Snowmass Creeks, which serve as our two primary water sources.

Outdoor Water Conservation:

  • Follow the 2026 Irrigation Schedule. Click here.

Indoor Water Conservation:

  • Make sure toilets are not running. A flapper that does not seal properly can result in 200+ gallons per day of water going down the drain.
  • Showers:
    • Take showers instead of baths
    • Shorten showering times
    • Make sure that shower heads are low flow
  • Turn off the water while brushing teeth or shaving
  • Run full loads in clothes washers and dish washers
  • Fix leaking faucets.

Our collective actions make a difference!
