Drought Information

Snowmass Village is now in a Level 4 Drought per the US Drought Monitor.

All visitors and residents are encouraged to use water wisely. Stream flows are currently low in Snowmass and East Snowmass Creeks, which serve as our two primary water sources.

Typically the highest uses indoors include showers and toilets.

  • Showers:
    • Take showers instead of baths
    • Shorten showering times
    • Make sure that shower heads are low flow
  • Turn off the water while brushing teeth or shaving
  • Run full loads in clothes washers and dish washers
  • Fix leaking faucets and running toilets (a running toilet can easily be 200+ gallons per day!)

Our collective actions make a difference!
